Since our inception ECS has
worked with dozens of utility companies and rebate programs to reduce the
capital investment in energy conservation projects we have completed. Rebate incentive programs are an additional
cost savings measure beyond the energy and maintenance savings that are the
basic components of all energy conservation projects.
Incentives are not the main reason
to complete an energy conservation project.
Rebates and other incentives are the icing on the cake that can improve
a project’s Annual Return On Investment (ROI).
Rebate programs have changed a
number of times over the years to meet the needs of the utility company and the
industry as a whole. In the late 80’s
and early 90’s rebates were a jumpstart to the burgeoning energy conservation
industry. They provided a tremendous
amount of money for relatively simple upgrades.
As the conservation industry has
gained momentum and the cost of energy has dramatically increased rebates have
taken a step back in the amount of money available for simple upgrades. Current rebate programs are either targeted
incentives to reduce peak load in areas with overloaded energy needs or they
stimulate the use of new or underutilized technology.
Several rebates, however, buck
this trend and offer tremendous incentives for standard upgrades. Let ECS find and manage these rebate
opportunities for you.
ECS will complete all necessary
paperwork, inspections, measurement and verification and invoicing. All you have to do is deposit the check.
