ECS didn’t invent Value Engineering – but we perfected
it.
ECS provides the most comprehensive
Value Engineering service in the industry.
In the past, Value Engineering meant simply cutting costs
and buying cheaper versions of a specified product. ECS believes Value Engineering should be more
than just meeting budgets.
Three factors we consider essential to a successful Value
Engineered project are:
- Design – does the new lighting meet your design goals?
- Budget – are you under budget?
- Delivered On Time – will the new lighting meet your
construction time frame?
The ECS Approach
As part of a Value Engineering project ECS meets with
designers, architects, owners, GC’s and contractors – all of whom have specific
needs. We work with all members of the
team to make sure their concerns are met while the main focus of an affordable,
effective design are maintained.
The savings from ECS Value Engineering ranges from 25 to 50%
of the overall fixture price. Additional
savings may be generated through lower installation costs and streamlined
operational costs.
The VE Process
The Value Engineering process at ECS begins with a specified
light package. We put together a cost
analysis for the fixtures AS SPECIFIED.
Where most distributors are done at this point, ECS is just getting
started.
Our team of design specialists looks for alternative
lighting options that meet the design specification and that will deliver the
same light design at a lower cost.
ECS then presents a CROSSOVER lighting package that meets
the budget and design goals, complete with fixture cuts, design specifications
and schedules.
ECS is a distributor of the products we provide. This is not a consulting service. It is an element of the way we do business as
a distributor.
Take a look at a few project that ECS has developed. These samples detail the AS SPECIFIED price as well the FINAL VE BUDGET that ECS provided.
